Retirement Planning Experience:
How did you first hear about The 611 Group? "We first heard about it, actually, through Sue. We actually went to one of your lectures in the library when you first started. She went hooked on with you, and then we followed."
What stood out to you once we started working together? "One, you're from Manitowoc, we love that. We did love that. We just thought it was a great package. Everything you offered is what we were looking for. And we didn't realize it until actually we met with you. So it was, it was a great fit for us."
What is the biggest change in how you think about your finances since working with us? "The independence of spending money. Yes. I'm, from the old fashioned. Probably not spend it, but as you say, your kids will spend it if you don't, so we're doing that. Oh, with me, I, I just feel more secure just knowing that somebody's watching. Yeah, ditto for that. Somebody that I trust, and I won't know, I know they won't do anything weird with, you know, my money. And for me, that's like, the comfort. We sleep at night very easily."
How would you describe us to a friend? "That you're very easy to work with. Everybody. Everybody in the office. You are, I felt very comfortable with you the first time we met, one on one. And we had to work rather quickly because Covid was shutting everything down. As a matter of fact, the day I went to the Social Security security office, they closed it. And you kindly called me and said, they're shutting them down. I said, yeah, I know, I'm in the parking lot. So, you know, it was a very smooth transition at a very rough time. Yes. And I think, too, that you're just very accessible. So definitely we can get in touch with you when we need to. So that's huge. Awesome. And Gail too. And Gail, too. And let's give another shout out to Wisconsin!"
Working with a Financial Advisor:
What make you decide to work with The 611 Group? "After attending, your, seminar, and, you talked about the two, different levels of safe, money now, money later, money and managing that. That made some sense to me. And that's what, and the reason we went and furthered our relationship with you."
What would you tell a friend about working with us? "I would tell them that, somebody that really cares about what their needs are, cares about their financial security, is attentive, is attentive. And as well, pays attention to detail."
What's been the biggest surprise since you've retired? "How busy you are. You always think you're going to have lots of free time, but you don't."
What are your top 3 tips for someone about to retire? "Number one, enjoy it. Embrace it and do what you want to do."
Clear Communication and Guidance:
How did you first hear about The 611 Group? "I heard about The 611 Group by a meeting over at Parker's. Willie was doing a presentation on, Social Security in retirement. My deceased wife, now, was getting ready to retire at that time. Went to the meeting, got very interested, and then, set up other meetings with Willie and, shifted our finances over under his control. I was introduced with it from Glenn."
What stood out to you once we started working together? "Working with The 611 Group, you guys are so down to earth. You just kind of just let, let it, tell us how it really is, and I, I like that. Well, I've always, just felt that you were easy to get in touch with. I've, had work with other financial groups before, and I never actually felt the, the honesty aspect, so, thank you. I like the way that, Willie always did his presentations, always felt good, always answered any of the questions I had, so just very comfortable."
What about the Advantage FORMula makes you feel it's tailored to your situation? "You kind of work with my needs, and if I don't feel comfortable about something, you're not pushing me into something that I don't feel comfortable with. You just. Okay, we'll work with this, and then we'll go forward."
What would you tell someone who's thinking of working with us? "I believe that it was a great fit for me. But the, the one nice thing with Willie, it's sort of to make sure there is that fit that you, that he meets your needs, but also that he is also comfortable with you in coming in, and I, I just think that there's a little bit of honesty there and a lot of trust."
A Personal, Family-Like Approach:
What made you decide to work with The 611 Group? "It just felt very comfortable, and it felt like, we had multiple plans, so, you know, it was nice that we had different options to go with and, different strategies, and I felt like that strategy was going to continue and evolve with me and my lifestyle."
What stood out to you once we started working together? "How I felt like I wasn't just a client, but, you know, part of The 611 Group family and part of Willie's family. And everyone treated me, you know, like family."
Confidence in Financial Decisions:
How did you first hear about The 611 Group? "One of your clients was my boss, and she said, oh, you got to go talk to Willie. So I said, I'm going to get the, she gave me the information. I called because we had a lot of stuff, but nothing was organized."
What made you decide to work with us in the first place? "We were kind of impressed with a lot of his ideas and things, long term benefits, which we were looking for. We went to the, I guess, meet and greet or whatever, and I was very, impressed that you could organize everything."
How has the Advantage FORMula helped you feel prepared for the future? "Well, we both retired and we have more time to do things and start to enjoy ourselves a little bit more, but still look forward to working and doing other projects and whatnot, traveling a little, planning and knowing what we have and what we can do and what we can't do."
What surprised you the most about working with us? "What surprises me the most is you tell me that I have enough money and that they move and they still stand to stay in the same place."
Trust and Comfort in the Relationship:
How did you first hear about The 611 Group? "Well, I was getting my kayak out for the first time, and struggling with it when Will stepped over and said, do you need some help? Oh, my gosh, do I need some help? So that is how we connected and we started kayaking and I learned all about The 611 Group and, rest is history."
What made you decide to work with us in the first place? "I think because I got to know you and trust you, and you don't feel like you, well, I didn't feel like I even knew who was handling my stuff before that, so it's really comforting to know."

Well, I didn't feel like I even knew who was handling my stuff before that, so it's really comforting to know. I guess, a sense of comfort, that, again, I can say, Will, I have a question, should I do this or that? Can you give me a few minutes? So help, me brainstorm, like, if I want to do this, what's the best way for me to do that?"
Client Experience:
What made you decide to work with us in the first place? "I think it was after the first meeting that felt so comfortable. Right. And the, the service has been better than we had, at our previous place. Yeah, yeah."
What surprised you the most about working with us? "I think the family atmosphere, your family. I think that's a big thing, family. You all feel like one big family."
A Personal Approach to Planning:
What made you decide to work with us in the first place? "Willie's personality. He is just so easy going. He is funny, but he is so down to earth. He just treats you like family. Yeah, like it's family."
In your experience, what makes The 611 Group unique to work with? "Like it's more a one on one relationship. We call. There's only one or two people that answer the phone. If you need to contact Gail, she's quick in responding, so it makes, it makes a huge difference. You're not a number."
