What is a WARN Notice?

What is a WARN Notice?

When a company of more than 100 employees plans a factory/plant closure or a mass layoff, the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act of 1988 requires them to provide workers 60 days notice. This is done to protect workers, their families, and local communities from the outsized economic impact these types of closures or restructures can cause.
